Re: KVM Choices??

I have a brilliant KMV unit that runs 3 G4s and an Xserve, everything works great (power keys, CD eject, etc.), and it was cheap. It's by a UK firm, Adder, and designed for Macs, but I haven't seen it in the U.S. yet, the model is AdderView USB:

Dr. Bott makes a USB KVM rackmount but it is quite poor in terms of appearance and how it works. I have a persistent problem with the two G3s and 1 G4 going USB deaf with this unit. I suspect the problem with it has to do with it not being powered. I had a Belkin rackmount but the inability for it to pass through a 'C Key' startup was frustrating as was using a PC keyboard. Seems like this ought to be a lot simpler than it is.

Hi To All:

TIA for sharing your experience on the following issue....

I'm looking for a KVM....

Two XServes, two or three other Macs, and an IBM RS-6000 running AIX...
I don't expect to have to include a Windows based machine in the mix.

If I have to leave the RS-6000 out of the mix, I can live with that....

I see APC and Belkin, all of which require a PS-2 Mouse and Keyboard.
Is there a KVM out there that will allow me to use an Apple USB Mouse and Keyboard?
Should I care? Of just go buy a PS-2 Mouse and Keyboard?
