I am experiencing an issue with MS Office on Mac Manaager 2.2.2 under
Panther Server that I never had before - when users try to edit
exisiting MS Word documents they get a "Word cannot create or save this
file. The disk may be full or write-protected" etc message.
Older versions of Word kept the normal.dot in the Office folder. If
Office is running in a locked folder it won't be able to write to the
normal and freak out. Quark has the same problem with it's pref files.
While it dosen't mention Office 2001 specificly, the U-Utah crappy apps
site is very good for learning how to deal with stuff like this.
