Re: QuickTime install stalls



 I found a work around.  I went to apple's download site [http://www.apple.com/support/downloads], downloaded the Quicktime package, then manually ran the installer:

[xserver:~] grant% sudo installer -pkg QuickTime651.pkg -target /
installer: Package name is QuickTime 6.5.1
installer: Installing onto volume mounted at /.
installer: The install was successful.
[xserver:~] grant%
