Re: QuickTime install stalls



Thanks all for the help. I knew how to deal with the CLI version of SoftwareUpdate, but assumed that Apple's own ServerAdmin version would not have the same weakness. Several people suggested Apple Remote Desktop, but I don't have that, unfortunately. Does it come for free with an OS X Server license or would I have to pay for it? The server is at an ISP, so I can't physically get to it without some grief.

I killed the QTInstall process and then ran softwareupdate from the command line, and things seem to have worked.
