After Retrospect crashed my Xserve in the middle of peak usage (stay away from Retrospect - it launched a 10:00 PM script at 10:00 AM) my Windows users can't see their home directories. The normal Windows 'F5' window has no effect. The shares / files are still on the Xserve and I managed to get a couple of users including my self corrected by stopping and starting Windows services while they had there 'empty' home directory open in Windows. The restart of Samba seemed to kick start Windows into seeing the files. My logs show nothing unusual and I was wondering if anyone has seen this and if my suspicion is correct that it is a Windows issue. The rest of the group shares work fine and it is just the home directories that are effected. Dan T _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
