Well I did just this and actually the funny thing is I could login to the
PDC (since users exist on both) and my login script would run mapping the
shares. But the home directory would not map. I could brose to the second
server and see my home directory on the main share (you know how you open
the server and it will show the shares and your home directory). It was
there.
It just would not map the drive automatically. This is a big deal since
users know that they need to save to the H: drive (which is their home
directory).
I called Apple and they said it wasn't possible yet, but maybe with Tiger.
But man, its so close.... It would seem someone could write a login script
or something.
Right now I have 95/98/XP clients. I have a login script that maps home
directories for my 95/98 clients (the home one):
net use X: \\xserve1\share1
net use Z: \\xserve1\share2
net use h: /home
XP its automactic but this work as well for them.
