I have actually used a Keyspan USB-9pin Serial and Zterm, and it works
very well...

Subject: VT-100 Emulation Questions:
I need to admin a few devices, and Im tired of using an old crusty Dell
laptop. I'd love to use my iBook, a USB to serial adapter, a serial
cable, and Terminal.app. Can it be done?
Can I use Apple's Terminal app instead of traditional terminal
emulators (like Z-Term) for connecting to serial devices such as
routers, RAIDS, etc?
If it is possible to use Terminal.app, then how do I config the usual
settings like 8,N,1, Xon-Xoff, 19200 baud, No wrap, VT-100, etc in the
Terminal app?
Which USB to serial adapters will work with OS X 10.3? Keyspan? Belkin?
Do I need drivers?
