Re: Authentication Question

I am wondering how exactly (if I can) set-up a Mac to authenticate against an Xserve? By that I mean for example if I had a iBook
and I were in the office I could login and the office Xserve would authenticate me against the OD database and allow me to access my
home share and the other shares on the Xserve. If I was in the field or at home would I need a separate local account? Would I
then not have access to my work account unless I was in the office and had access to the Xserve?

Mobile accounts use local homes and cached copies of the user's account. You can sync the home folder by hand now, and 10.4 is going to automatically do it. Account and management info is synced if you are on the network with your OD server.
