Re: Authentication Question

This is one of those things that's super easy to find in the server documentation, or in google.

Is this like PDC accounts for Windows? I messed with this for a while while testing our Xserve. The Windows users would have thier
home account copied to and from the Xserve at login / logout.

So if I used a mobile account on my iBook my account directory is actually local but copied form the Xserve?

How do I create a mobile account??

Mobile accounts use local homes and cached copies of the user's
account. You can sync the home folder by hand now, and 10.4 is going to
automatically do it. Account and management info is synced if you are
on the network with your OD server.
