The only problem I have is working with devices that require a control-break
to initiate a console session (Like LSI storage arrays). Works fine with all
of our server (SGI, Sun, HP, Dell) and other RAID disks.
Both ZTerm and minicom can send a soft break. What you can't send is
a hard break, but nothing should use this. Note that breaks are
usually disabled as for many consoles they'll dump you to firmware
and halt the CPU. Not good for your Sun.
