I've used 2 terminal emulation packages, and both are capable of doing VT100
(and both run in OS X): Ericom software's PowerTerm, and Carnation
Software's MacWise.
Both are pretty easy to set up. I've never had to do either with a serial
connection (I just used TCP), but I believe both can handle that.
