We've got a new G5 Xserve that we are preparing to set up... We
DIDN'T get a video card for it, as we planned to use Apple Remote
Desktop 2 to manage it.
ARD can't see the Xserve yet, I presume we need to enable to
service. Can we do this, and the initial configuration, remotely or
is it simplest to either stick a video card in or boot in FireWire
mode with a PowerBoook attached?
You can enable it remotely using the kickstart command. See Apple's
web site for a technote or search this list.
