So..... Anyone have recommendations for an alternative? 24 Port RJ-45 GigE Simple Switch. Don't need managed capabilities. Just a simple switch to plug workstations into.

MacConnection lists the Asante switch at $569.95 All the other ones I've finding that give me 24 GigE ports are way more expensive. [snip]

Have a look at Netgear GS524T (http://www.netgear.com/products/ details/GS524T.php) starts around $380.00.

Not that I recommend those, I am happy with one of their older 16 port models, but YMMV.
