I have filed a bug with Apple regarding the bug in Software Update.

When I try to do a Software Update from the 'Update' tab in 10.4 Server Admin it gets stuck in the 'Scanning in Progress' mode and gives this in the system.log:
May 7 07:12:33 ns2 servermgrd: servermgr_info: unexpected Software Update state: crashed
May 7 07:12:59 ns2 servermgrd: servermgr_info: unexpected Software Update state: crashed
May 7 07:13:06 ns2 servermgrd: servermgr_info: unexpected Software Update state: crashed
Anybody else seen this?
Man, I just updated yesterday, but with all the problems I've had since I'm doing any other upgrades right away!
Do you got a solution to this? AFAIK Software Updates works without a problem and Software Update Server also. So at the moment I think the only disadvantage is a system.log getting bigger than it need to.
