Your best bet is probably the ATTO, but it is expensive ($250+).
I've purchased Acard SCSI adapters for under $100 but I've been less
than overwhelmed with them for tape backup work. For a scanner, they
may work fine.
As for the 2906, they worked under Panther; I've not tried one in
Tiger, though.
