The most common SCSI connections are the 25-pin, the 50-pin Centronics, the 50-pin high density, and the 68-pin high density. I won't bore you with SCSI-1, 2, 3 info, and it probably doesn't matter than much with a scanner, but Jacob is correct, just a matter of the right cable between the two.

Also, don't forget to terminate the chain.

Is this just a cable / adapter issue. I'm a bit rust on my SCSI terminology... time to break out my old PM 7200/75 with built-in SCSI!
