Re: [OT] SCSI2 cards

You can either use an adapter or get a 2930 card. It may work under Panther using the Adaptec Beta drivers which should still be available. The 2930 and 2906 use the same KEXTs.

I have beaucoup 2930 cards in my "I know I'll never use this but I hate to through them away drawer".

I'm looking at a Slide Scanner on Ebay. It uses SCSI and I've seen reports on Macintouch that this scanner will work on OS X with third party scanning software.

The issue I have is the SCSI part. Can any one recommend a SCSI card that works and is supported under 10.4 (10.1,2,3 if I need to).

I've found the 'Adaptec SCSI Card 2906';

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/suppdetail.jsp?prodkey=AVA-2906

but they (Adaptec) has dropped Mac OS support long ago.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks,
