K-12 Multiple Masters

Hello All,

Last year we ran a single master and 17 replicas. This year, because we are running a PDC at each high school, we have one master/pdc at each of our highschools and a third master for k-8. The highschool masters are on 10.4.2 and the k-8 master is on 10.3.9. We are in the process of also setting up a BDC at each HighSchool.

It would be nice to have staff and students access their HomeDir from any school or lab.

Q: Do I bind the clients via Directory access to the the various masters or do I bind the masters to one another via Directory Access?
Binding via the clients mean we need to change our images and update all MAC osx computers (or update via ARD)

What are the pros and cons of each approach

I really don't want to maintain 13,000 + accounts on each master.

My long range plan is to see how the PDC works out. If successful I hope to have a single ODM/PDC with one or more BDCs at each High School.
Any thoughts on this plan? advice?

Thanks for your replies
