Re: SHARING BUTTON GRAYED OUT RESOLVED (SORT-OF)

NFS isn't turned on for shares by default. It won't show "on" until you go into the individual share and enable it (after it has been designated as a share) and then probably not until after a reboot (but im not sure in 10.4).

I also have a server running OSXS 10.4.1, and for some reason, when I connect to the 10.4.2 server from Workgroup manager on the 10.4.1 Server, I can access the Shares, it is no longer grayed out. I still cannot start up NFS, it remains grayed. Is that normal??

I just set up a new server in OSXS 10.4.2. I am all ready to now assign privileges and create shares, and the Share button in Workgroup manager is Grayed out!! Does anyone have any idea why? All I have done so far, is import my users and groups from a different OSXS 10.3.9 system, to this new Tiger system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have to get this server up and running tonight...
