Turn off KVM Tap

Our Setup:
- APC AP5015 Rack mount Display/Keyboard/Track Pad
- Belkin f1de216c KVM switch (2x16)
- 7 Mac OS X Xserves running Tiger 10.4.2 (more on the way)

The KVM switches with out a problem and the keyboard/monitor works like a champ. We can not turn the tap off of the APC tap pad. There is not a trackpad choice in the sys pref. I can not find a config / setup screen in either the APC or Belkin device that will fix this. There is not room for us to just use a mouse either.

 Any thoughts on how to turn tap off?
