Hi all. Long story short: I'd compiled my own version of PHP on a
client's 10.2.8 server last summer to enable FTP so as to take
advantage of a "vacation" plug-in for Squirrelmail 1.4.3a. All was
fine until I stupidly ran the 01-2005 security up-date on the box,
which stomped all over my PHP installation. From what I can see, the
Apple-installed version of PHP, which is 4.3.10, doesn't have FTP
enabled, so I followed the latest instructions from AFP548.com to
download, configure, make, and install my own copy of PHP 4.3.10 with
FTP enabled. Sheesh! Anyway, the configure process goes fine, but the
make blows up when it gets to the Zend stuff. Here's the log from the
make process:
[mail:~/Documents/src/php-4.3.10] groupd% sudo make
<snip>
Can anyone help me get past this problem? I'm no PHP expert, so I'm a
little lost. TIA!
