OK, I've come
across a problem since upgrading and would just like to know why. Previously
I've used NTBackup to to backup bits and pieces from my Xserve...not something I
use all the time for backups, I use Galaxy from Commvault.... Long story as
to why NTbackup is used so just bear with me...
My question is
this... I am no longer able to backup using NTBackup. Samba appears to be fine
in so much I can browse from windows machines and do all the necessary things,
just NT Backup will not work. I get an error "Access to this device or folder
has been denied"
The user logged on
has permission to do whatever to the folder just that NT Backup doesn't seem to
believe it. I'm aware of a similar issue with Red Hat were the fix was to
upgrade to version 3.0 of samba.
Can anyone shed any
light on why this would happen here.
Thanks and regards
and yes I know "why would you use NT Backup...:-)"
Neil
