I've read about tcp_wrappers and would like to use this fuctionality to
prevent some connections by IP on an OS X Server.

Is anyone using tcp wrappers in conjunction with (limiting attempted) mail
access ?

No, no one should be.

OS X uses xinetd, which makes TCP Wrappers the bad history that it is.
