??? I've seen this happen on a completely unmodified OS X Server
Mail server. Definitely 'default' operation. Unless you mean turning
the Mail services on stops it being 'default'...
Aside from the log rolling problem, there have definitely been some
database corruption issues that have been more prevalent in the OS X
Server supplied versions than in the wider Cyrus community. I
haven't seen them for a while though, and am hoping that Apple have
finally nailed them.
Log rolling /is not/ enabled by default, last I checked at least.
As for Cyrus db corruption, yes, that occurs just b/c you're
breathing with cyrus.
