Phantom Appletalk Printers

I have about 10 printers showing up in my chooser under OS 9, and in printer utility on X, which do not exist on the network. For instance, there is one named "MIS", and one named "Eric", and we have no such printers. Can there be something on my network, like a switch, that is still bouncing around old Appletalk names, that have not existed on the network for years? I have no other way to explain how they got there, except that maybe the guy who had my job before me had printers set up with those names, but that was over 3 years ago.....

Thanks for any help.....
