Re: Help: WebMail connection refused?

no. telnet says "connection refused, unable to connect to remote host. i didn't see anywhere that I explicitly enabled telnet? don't know if that's relevant.

Can you connect to the IMAP server with a different mail client? How about 'telent 127.0.0.1 imap' on the server and see if it is accepting connections?

2) I went to my user in Workgroup Manger and enabled both POP and IMAP, saved (proven: POP mail works, and I quit and restarted WM and the settings stuck)
3) back in Server Admin->Settings->Sites->[mysite.com]->Options: I enabled WebMail (proven: quit restart check, it's still there.

Now i go to http://mysite.com/webmail/ and I get the login screen. I login under my account (I type just my name, not @mysite.com) and password.. then I get this:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:143 in /usr/share/squirrelmail/functions/imap_general.php on line 445
ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost. 61 : Connection refused

what did I do wrong???
