win 2000 server running dns, and dhcp. mac os x server 10.4.1 using
static ip with forward and reverse records set up on win dns, mac
os x client 10.4.1 using dhcp. user profile in AD set to point to
the user home directory on the mac server.
problem: wacom driver 4.79-2 did not load because of an
internal driver failure.
results: called and emailed support and they suggested
uninstalling, reloading, etc., but it did not resolve the problem.
comments: the problem occurs when i use an AD network home
directory. it doesn't matter if i use afp, smb protocol. it does
not occur with netinfo local accounts. it does not occur with
mobile accounts. iirc, it does not occur with 10.3. anyone have
another work around. i would prefer not to use a network account if
i can. btw, a similar issue occurs with keyspan media remote. i
reported the keyspan issue when 10.2 came out. the keyspan issue
occurs with 10.3 and 10.4.
It's a well known issue. You can't use driver version 4.79 with
