I have a strange behavior (at least it seems strange to me) on an XServe using Megaraid. I have two logical volumes on this raid. One is named disk and the other one archive. The first one host the system and the second one the emails and the web folder. If I reboot the XServe, I got a new name for the second disk. For example : archive 1. The matter is it breaks the links to the webfolder and the mail folders.
Is there an issue to stick the name on archive ?

Sounds like you're getting a stray mountpoint.

Boot in single user mode or off the installer CD, mount the boot disk and check to make sure you don't have a stray mountpoint on the normal boot volume in /Volumes or /Volumes/bootvolume/Volumes.
