In a word, no. Of course that admittedly depends upon your definition of
secure :)
This is also not the *done thing*, as a rule, and often won't work
anyway, as often ISPs will block SMB traffic.
You're best bet would probably be to setup a VPN tunnel to encapsulate
the SMB traffic.
That will also be *much* more secure.
