Re: mysql

It appears the CocoaMySQL application assumes that the mysqld socket is located at /tmp/mysql.sock. That was the default location in Panther Server, but in Tiger Server the socket has moved to /var/mysql/mysql.sock. So, with Tiger Server, you need to specify that path in CocoaMySQL's "Socket" field.

I got the same when i use the new tool Mysql Administrator. I got the error : Could not connect to MySQL instance at localhost. Error : Can't connect to local SQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) (code 2002). So there is not network problem. Only this socket problem.

I use the KBase 301457 to create the file my.cn but nothing change.

SO now I tried to connect using navicat and it works (there is an option to use or not the socket)

Mille grazie.
