If a third party application isn't working, you'll need to contact
that third party support channel fro assistance with it.
That sounds like an AppleCare, Dan.
Well an application problem isn't an OS problem and it's OT and the
listmom wants to keep this list about OS X not about problems in
applications, sensibly so.
Cocoa mysql is just a GUi for the comand line anyway, as you
certainly know, so the problem will be the same from the comand
line. And it is the same, in fact.
No, I most certainly do not know that it's a pure wrapper for
`mysql`, nor do I have any reason to belive that it's not using
MySQL calls from inside an application. That would be the more
sensible train of thought, but who knows, this isn't a list devoted
to an obscure application.
Then try connecting using `mysql` like we've suggested. Then
provide any error.
I did it. I have the same error about root that could not access localhost.
WHAT ERROR???
Is it really to much to ask that you tell us the error rather than
make us guess? Yeah, I guess it's to much to be asking.
Best of luck with your problem then.
