Re: Firewall ports



Although it's not in this case, as my internal LAN is currently made up of my server machine with firewall disabled and 1 client with firewall disabled. The SMC router also has it's firewall disabled as well as it's settings to specifically allow PPTP and L2TP protocols to pass turned on. I can connect to the server via LAN and Internet with the PPTP protocol and everything works the way it's supposed to as far as I can tell. When I try to connect via L2TP the connection seems to just time out and I get the system.log entries that I provided earlier.
If I can provide more info please let me know.

Unless either has any firewalling or filtering going on locally, which is distinctly possible.
