This all becomes apparent when you consider the subnet masks. A computer with two
NICs uses the subnet masks to decide which packets should be sent to which NIC.
Your DHCP server is configured to assign certain IP addresses. There's absolutely
no point in assigning an address and then not being able to reach the client you've
assigned it to, so it will only talk to DHCP clients down whichever card traffic
to those addresses should travel down.
