That's not what I see on our Xserve G5 2.0 GHz single processor. The rear USB ports do appear to lock out a USB keyboard if attached, but an APC SmartUPS 750 1u UPS attached to the rear USB port is seen even if the lock is locked. So the USB locking seems to be sensitive to the type of device.
