Some of you might recall our problems with DirectoryService (10.3.9)
hanging every ~2 weeks, effectively breaking all services that use
OD. The only "fix" to date is to kill the DirectoryService pid and
start it up again. The problem hasn't gone away yet, so I've
resorted to "therapeutic restarts", hoping this will prevent whatever
is causing this lockup.
It appears that "serveradmin [stop|start] dirserv" will be
sufficient, but I'm looking for someone who can confirm this before I
attempt this on a production server. Anyone?
