So most of those seemed pretty normal. The first one is a bit odd, but hey, stuff happens.
The best alternative to the lock I have found is my hack from pre-10.2.4 when the drives would still spin down. On 2-post rack installs I would route out the airpaths on the bezel shipping cover and put that back over the front. Won't work in a 4 post rack though.
