It was never a big "no" to change the IP address, but it did require you to do it right.


As for changing the gateway this was never an issue.

This has been discussed before on this list.

what about now?

It remains the same.

Is it ok to change IP and gateway in 10.3.9 and 10.4.x
or do i end up with broken services?

Only if you do it wrong.

 If it´s recommendable do i still
have to run changeip or will the network settings in system
preferences do?
