I have not stayed on top of this "issue" but i know it used to be a
BIG no no to try and change the IP or gateway on Mac OS X Server after
the initial install.
It was never a big "no" to change the IP address,
but it did require you to do it right.
As for changing the gateway this was never an issue.
This has been discussed before on this list.
Did you check the archives?
But
what about now?
It remains the same.
Is it ok to change IP and gateway in 10.3.9 and 10.4.x
or do i end up with broken services?
Only if you do it wrong.
If it´s recommendable do i still
have to run changeip or will the network settings in system
preferences do?
Did you read the docs???
