10.4.3 server and the midiman delta 66 sound card

Up until 10.4.2 osx server worked great with the midiman delta 66 sound card as an audio output device.

When i upgraded to 10.4.3, it seemed to work still for DVDs and iTunes but doesn't work for certain games and quicktime movies.  It appears to think i selected the built-in speaker for all audio output when using those programs.  Has anybody else noticed that?

before you say anything, I run osx server because I need to run a web server and serve files to the other computers in the house hence the NEED for osx server, otherwise i'd be using client version.
