I can't remember the last time I had to update the list of root servers.

Well, it's no big deal, but the "named.ca" file that Apple distributes with Mac OS X Server 10.4 is a bit out of date. The only substantive change from the current version (of Jan 29, 2004) (other than comments) is:

23c24
< B.ROOT-SERVERS.NET. 3600000 A 128.9.0.107

; This file is made available by InterNIC ; under anonymous FTP as ; file /domain/named.root ; on server FTP.INTERNIC.NET ; -OR- RS.INTERNIC.NET ; ; last update: Jan 29, 2004 ; related version of root zone: 2004012900
