Well after having just lost my 3rd LaCie FW drive (Out of 4) in the
matter of 1 year I am ready to try other brands. I would like to
throw it out to the list to find out what brand seems to work longer
than 1 year. (Sarcasm aside, what brand do you trust?)
This sort of performance is common in IDE/FW drives if you have them
in continuous use. Most drive elements themselves are also no longer
warranteed for longer than a year. The drive industry figured you
wanted cheaper rather than more reliable drives. It's actually quite
hard to find a drive unit with a five year warranty.
