Re: [10.4] second postfix instance

Ok.. I am officially lost. I knew I should have not started this on two lists lol.

Step 1:

I copied my stock Apple master.cf and main.cf to my new config directory /etc/postfix-second/

My primary master.cf contains:

127.0.0.1:10025 inet n  -       y       -       -       smtpd
   -o content_filter=
   -o local_recipient_maps=
   -o relay_recipient_maps=
   -o smtpd_restriction_classes=
   -o smtpd_client_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_helo_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_sender_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_recipient_restrictions=permit_mynetworks,reject
   -o mynetworks=127.0.0.0/8
   -o smtpd_enforce_tls=no
   -o strict_rfc821_envelopes=yes
   -o smtpd_error_sleep_time=0
   -o smtpd_soft_error_limit=1001
   -o smtpd_hard_error_limit=1000
   -o receive_override_options=no_header_body_checks

Do I need an equivalent entry in my secondary master.cf file?

My primary main.cf contains (among other things):

inet_interfaces = all
content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024

What I have gathered is that it should be:

inet_interfaces = my.primary.ip.address
content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024

and

inet_interfaces = my.secondary.ip.address
content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:20024

The suggestion I had from a list member (and postfix developer) was /etc/postfix-second/ but there is also a subsequent post from I believe a current macos-x-server list member detailing such a set-up (with Launch Control and everything) but I am waiting for details on how the config files fall into things here.

What details are you missing???

You were instructed on the postfix list how to configure the second instance.

Yes but when I tried the start-up command as directed it failed (postfix already running error). I was given a command to check for missing files and I am missing some. I was just looking to get some advise from a OS X admin to confirm that I have the correct files moved and modified.
