Hello,
I've searched the list for an answer, only to come up with the question, but
no answer on the thread.
I am running OS X Server 10.3.9 - haven't gone to Tiger yet.
My web log files are getting rolled, and deleted. I do not want this to
happen. I've set them the archive every 30 days, yet my logs are being
deleted about every two weeks. I've just added a new periodic.conf.local
file which tells the 100.clean-logs script to NOT delete the logs in
/var/log/httpd
These are the two lines I've added to this 'override' file:
daily_clean_logs_ignore="/var/log/httpd/*" # Don't delete these
daily_clean_logs_verbose="YES" # Mention files
deleted
My question is - will this added periodic.conf.local file override that
script so my logs won't get deleted? Does anyone know if there's anything
else I can do to stop the logs from being deleted?
Any help is much appreciated!
Maryann
