Re: NAT IPFW problem

hi ken

Either the diagram is incomplete or you are not using a DMZ. What network are the DMZ Xserves on?

the DMZ Range is in the 217.8.XXX.XXX range
the LAN is 192.168.1.0/24

According to the diagram the LAN can access both the Cable Gateway via 192.168.1.100 and the DMZ Firewall via 192.168.1.1 - these are both on the 192.168.1 network.

that's right.

I did notice that you list 192.168.0.0/16 in your ipfw chains so perhaps something in the diagram is mislabeled?

would this be necessary? I am not sure I understand

thanks

Cornelius
