There is an article on this over at afp548 and starts by modifying the syslogd entry in the /private/etc/rc file. However, that entry does not exist in the rc file under 10.4 server. Does anyone know where it is located under 10.4?

syslog is now started by launchd. The plist file is in /System/ Library/LaunchDaemons. 10.3 and 10.4 are night and day in this regard.
