Re: SSL Cert Intall Problems

Hi Brian,

I am trying to install an SSL certificate from Verisign using the

instructions provided in the Apple OS X Server documentation. Everything

seems fine, except when I try to restart web services, it fails. If I turn

off SSL for the domain, the web services start fine, so the issue is

definitely with the SSL cert installation. I am using Panther server

(10.3.8, I believe) on a dual G4.


Server Admin sometimes saves the SSL certificate and the private key file with Mac linfeeds instead of Unix linefeeds.

The solution is to check the files directly on the harddrive and change the linefeeds to UNIX.
