RE: Problems installing webmin / Perl Mod "Net::SSleay"

Thanks everyone.

Still in progress with this. However, one of the problems seems to be
with 'make' which seems to have been replaced with gnumake in 10.4.2

/usr/bin/make -> gnumake

Here's the end result when i tried to install Authen-PAM-0.15 using cpan
(thanks for the recommendation):

-----------------------

make: *** No rule to make target
`/System/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/CORE/config.h',
needed by `Makefile'. Stop.
  /usr/bin/make -- NOT OK
Running make test
  Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible

-----------------------

It got a similar message when i tried to install Net::SSLeay. Now
webmin (GUI) seems to think that Net::SSLeay is installed. Personally, i
don't think it is.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

1) use the version of xCode that came with your server software ore the
latest release.

2) These should be no problem with the directory path you chose as long
as
that is what you specified during install.

3) Once Webmin is installed the easy way to install Net_SSLeay is to let
Webmin do it for you. Open Webmin in your browser and drill down thru
/Webmin/Webmin Configuration/SSL Encryption, since Net_SSLeay is not
installed it will need to be installed before SSL can be used. Click the
link to download and install.
