The problem is that when you launch a MS app for the first login on
a computer it takes around 10 minutes to startup.
I'm guessing that it's trying to register over the internet. Are
these computers connected to the internet when this happens ? Are
you behind a firewall ? I'd guess that they try to contact Microsoft
HQ for 10 minutes and then give up.
If I logout and log back in, no problem Office launches in under 5
seconds. Nice!
First time only. Part of the registration process.
But if I move to another computer the whole process needs to be
repeated taking another 10 minutes.
Correct. Different computer == different installation.
