I dont want to restrict sending to anyone on the list.
What I want to stop is that if someone form OUTSIDE my network sends
a mail to that alias it doesn't get sent out again to the people
contained in that alias.
Ah, well this is a bit different.
Yes, using mailman might be a better choice here, normally is for
creating actual mailing lists as opposed to just exploding the mail
across addresses.
If, however, you're tight on using a mail alias, you should be able
to configure postfix to reject mail to that local part if not
received from a specific IP range. This is a bit trickier (and easier
to do in exim) and I'd suggest taking further inquiries on this to
the postfix list.
