Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, this document only
outlines how to interact with the PostgreSQL installed by ARD, not
how to get ARD to use an existng PostgreSQL install. Interesting
enough, the document states that one of the advantages of the
embedded install is that in can co-habitate with other PostgreSQL
installs. Which is not true, as they use the default port.
Which doesn't prevent you from using another port for your distro and
it working just fine.
