10.4.2 LDAP Bind/Kerberos issue?

Greetings,

I've been having sporadic issues with our 10.4.2 testing server in prep for rolling it in to production use at our design studio.

I've set it up as an OD master and originally thought that the following errors only occurred when the clients were not set to the same NTP/Time Zone sync.

DirectoryService[38]: DSLDAPv3PlugIn: Required Policies not Supported: No ClearText. LDAP Connection for Node testserver.local denied.
DirectoryService[38]: DSLDAPv3PlugIn: Policy Violation. Disabled future attempts to bind to [10.10.0.2] for 1 hour.
/System/Library/CoreServices/mcxd.app/Contents/MacOS/mcxd: DSOpenNode(): dsOpenDirNode("/LDAPv3/testserver.local") == -14002

The 5 test clients were working fine for awhile, but after the weekend they seem to have the same issue - all while in sync in regards to time.

I have been unable to figure out why the 'No ClearText' policy is throwing it off.

The clients initially bind to the OD server without error with the policy enabled (as I have the Policy set on the server)... I can verify the bind by seeing the computer name listed in Workgroup Manager under 'All Computers'...

I'm hesitant to disable the policy in the name of making binding work. I'd really like to find the root cause.

Internal DNS appears to be set up correctly, with no issue in resolving the zone or reverse lookups...

Any ideas? Thanks for any feedback!
